Meanwhile, the latter becomes the first UK act to enter at #1 on the Top 200 album chart with a debut LP. One Direction's Up All Night sold 176,000 copies out of the gate to take the top spot.
Back on the Hot 100, One Direction's "One Thing" debuts at #90.
That brings us to Carly Rae Jepsen. It's inevitable that every spring some young ho will grab my ear with an irresistible pop offering. Most notably, this happened two years ago with Selena Gomez and "Naturally." And now, cue up "Call Me Maybe" (#23 on the chart), which I seriously can not stop playing.
