As a nice cash-in just ahead of Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime performance in February, Sony's Legacy Recordings will release Destiny's Child - Love Songs on January 29, a “career-spanning collection of the most sensual and romantic recordings” from Destiny's Child that is “comprised mainly of romantic gems recorded between 1997 and 2004.”
But, tacked on as the last track is brand new song "Nuclear" — the first new Destiny's Child song recorded in nine years. Pharrell Williams (eyeroll) produced and co-wrote with DC member Michelle Williams (!), James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal.
Looking forward to hearing this new jam, but if it's half as ratchet as the cover art of this compilation, well, that will pretty much be destiny unfulfilled.
