No, I can't believe it, either, but Kylie Minogue's Fever came out 10 years ago this week here in the States. I wrote up a retrospective look back at the album for Idolator's Backtracking series, much like the piece I did earlier this month on Spice Girls' debut LP Spice.
My first memories of Fever are having my pal Moogaboo surprise me with an import copy in fall 2001 (it was released in Europe that October) and playing it over and over and over when I worked at the E! channel.
I bought it the day it came out in the US and started playing it all over again through the spring. I even skipped work one Tuesday and waited in line at 5 a.m. so I could get tickets to see her on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
It also very much reminds me of the period when I left E! and started working at Instinct (March 2002). But more on that in a bit.
